An Artists’ Show and Sale will be offered at the Charles Street Studios, 20 Charles Street, Northvale, NJ, on Saturday, May 17, and Sunday, May 18, 2025, from 11:00AM to 5:00PM. A dozen ceramicists from northern New Jersey and local New York area, will show their hand-built pieces, wheel-thrown vessels, and slip-cast pottery. Creative techniques will be demonstrated at 2:00PM each day. Admission and parking are free.

Of the 12 featured artists, four live in Rockland or Westchester Counties of New York close to the studio in Northvale:

Roxanne Daner is an illustrator, designer, and ceramicist based in Nyack, New York. Creating her work using both hand building and wheel throwing, she always incorporates her illustration into pieces to create a unique and playful world.

Ruth Irving is a mixed media visual artist living and working in Yonkers, New York. Her pottery, both hand built and wheel thrown, is colorful and fanciful. Ruth’s art work has been exhibited in various galleries and private collections throughout the United States.

Paola Kim-Blanco resides in Piermont, New York. She first started working with clay in Mexico at the Taller de Ceramica Diaz de Cossio in Coyoacan, an experimental high-temperature ceramics center, and then at Centro Cultural MOA in Toluca. So far, she has been attracted to hand building, and, more recently, to slip casting. She creates unique designs on her pieces.

Josh Yanko, a resident of Nyack, has been creating pottery for more than ten years. What started as occupational therapy after suffering a trauma, has helped him redevelop his strength and confidence. Josh enjoys producing functional and decorative work, and has recently been working in slip casting.
